So Austin has been in this new season for almost a full month now, and there's still no sign that cooler weather is here to stay. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Halloween miracle though! I've been seeing a few of my fellow Texan bloggers already dawning coats & thick scarves in their outfit posts, and I'm just like, What?! How is that possible if we share a climate? I don't know how they do it. Unless they just take photos while it's still chilly in the morning, in which case, they're all geniuses.

This outfit is my way of dressing for autumn while it's still pretty warm outside yet cool enough to layer a bit. I wanted to keep the layers minimal (and preferably sleeveless) while sticking to more earthy tones, and bam - instant fake fall. ;) Now if only it were possible for the trees here to fake some fall foliage...

Outfit details:
H&M dress (old, similar here)
Old Navy utility vest
Crown Vintage sandals via DSW
Icing necklace
Nordstrom reversible tote
