I am a “just in case” kind of girl meaning I carry a bunch of junk in my bag just in case of certain situations. Part of this junk includes a cardigan/jacket for when I get cold. Which happens all the time… even when it’s 100 degrees outside (my friends have actually called me out on this before, haha). I wore this dress for a night downtown and took along this colorful cardigan for the bars that keep their A/C blasting no matter what, then I proceeded to take it off while we would walk around outside. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to photograph the outfit with the cardigan on or off, so I did both. I’m really shaking things up around here. 😛

I have always wanted a dress with bold stripes, so when I saw this one had gone on sale I immediately snatched it up. The best part is that they sell it in petite sizes making it the perfect fit for me! Oh, and the dress has pockets. Maybe that’s actually the best part. I decided to pair it with this specific cardigan mainly because I am a sucker for mixing stripes and a floral print, but also because the print has bits of black in it to match the black stripes, so it doesn’t look so clashy. Spell-check is telling me that “clashy” is not an actual word, but it obviously knows nothing. You get me, right?
