One of the best things about having a roommate who wears the same size clothing as you? You can have your pick of the clothes she doesn’t want anymore. I found these shorts in a giant bag that she was getting ready to donate. I asked her, “are you seriously getting rid of these?!” just to make sure she hadn’t thrown them in there by mistake. She replied that they didn’t look good on her, which I’m sure is not true, but who am I to reject a good free pair of shorts? (She also gets clothes that I don’t want anymore, we have a nice little partnership goin’ on.)

The shorts have a cool pattern, and the fact that they’re black & white makes it easier to pair tops with them. I decided to go with a simple chambray sleeveless top (chambray goes well with pretty much anything), but I could also see them styled with a plain white button-down or a loose top with a vibrant pop of color. I’m a fan of clothing that has endless possibilities. 😉
