A couple years ago I got rid of a HUGE chunk of my wardrobe made up mainly of impulse buys and Forever 21 fast-fashion trends that didn’t hold up; I call it The Great Purge of 2014. I distinctly remember these pants making it into the discard pile that I was taking to sell at Plato’s Closet, but the buyer didn’t want them. I went against my rule of donating the rejects and kept the pants instead, and I am SO glad I did. I wear them all the friggin’ time now; they are literally pajamas in public (only they seem to fit a bit better now… yay weight gain!).
If you followed my blog back in the day, you may remember that I used to love wearing a bunch of prints all at once (evidence here, here & here). That’s definitely not the case anymore. If I wear a funky print, as seen above, I want the rest of what I wear to be toned down. My life is such a mess, but at least my outfits have some structure to them. It’s so interesting to see how much a person has changed over the years just by the clothes they choose to cover their bodies with, and oh-so-clever me decided to document all my good, bad, and REALLY bad clothing choices on the internet. What could possibly go wrong?
