I didn’t think I would get to dawn this dress until the fall, but Austin welcomed a random burst of cold (and rainy!) weather a couple weekends ago, and I practically jumped at the opportunity to finally wear this lovely burgundy piece. The thing is, this dress doesn’t have a lot of shape to it. Now I love a good dress that can hide a food baby as much as the next girl, and honestly, this particular one would be PERFECT for Thanksgiving; but usually I like the world to know I have a waist which is why this belt became my new best friend. It’s actually my favorite belt, tbh. ModCloth gave it to me back when they asked me to host their Austin pop-up grand opening party, and I’ve gotten some great use out of it over the past year. Gold flower belts may not be everyone’s forte, but if it’s able to give me an actual human shape, I’m all for it.
