Wow, I almost went the ENTIRE month without posting an outfit. How lame is it that I was able to post a new outfit every week during January, but for February, this is all I got? February was a weird one, y’all. The past 2 years I have photos during February where the weather was always perfect, and I was outside doing things every week–but this year, the entire month had a heavy cloud over it. We had lots of rain and many thoughts of, “Ugh idk how to dress for this weather.”
Which is when these boots come in handy. I’m pretty sure in a previous post I’ve already praised their awesomeness, but they TRULY are the greatest boots I’ve ever owned. I have walked literally miles around downtown in these boots, and my feet are always perfectly comfortable; no blisters, no next day aches, no nada.
Random story: these boots almost didn’t make their way into my life. A couple years ago my mom was on the hunt for a nice pair of black booties and sent me a photo wearing these exact ones; I gave my approval, so she brought them home (because my approval is everything, duh). A few days later I had stopped by for a visit & wanted to try on the boots myself–they were SO CUTE, but my mom said she didn’t like them anymore & planned to return them.
I begged her to let me keep them, but I distinctly remember her claiming I “would never wear them just like the rest of your shoes.” Despite that, they were a Christmas gift that year, and now I literally wear them almost everyday during cold/rainy weather. Take that, ma! Jk I love you. I guess one woman’s “nah” is her daughter’s “OMG mom please please please can I keep them PLEASE WOMAN!”
Now that’s love.
