If you’re a fan of thrifting, you may have heard about Thred Up before (I even tried them out for the first time on the blog last spring). I used to be ALL ABOUT thrift stores when I first got into blogging–the bargain hunter in me just could not resist + it always felt like a treasure hunt!
In the past I’ve gotten a J.Crew coat, my favorite skirt from American Apparel that I wear constantly in the summer, a Fossil bag, among countless other items that have lasted all this time. Still, you had to really dig through an endless supply of junk to find the actual good stuff, and not every trip to the thrift store ended up being a success.
Thrifting is a game of patience.
Yet with Thred Up, you don’t really need patience, and that’s why it’s a step above your average thrift store–you are more likely to find a winning piece (more like several) every time you go! Their clothes/accessories, even though second-hand, are always in style and almost never worn. This jumpsuit literally still had the original J.Crew tag on it… um, SCORE.
Thred Up recently opened up their second location EVER at The Domain in Austin, so if you live here you should definitely check it out! It’s different than any other secondhand store you’ve been to, trust me. If you’re NOT in Austin, don’t fret: they still sell online!
Seriously, a thrift store with ONLY cute stuff and without the weird smells… dreams do come true.
