I was only in Tulum for a weekend trip, so unfortunately this list is a lot shorter than most. I basically just wore a swimsuit and shorts the majority of the time, and at night I changed into something cute for dinner. I had so much extra room in my Tortuga carry-on backpack (my new one!!) I even bought a giant dream catcher as a souvenir!
The first day I just wore the same clothes that I wore on the plane since most of the day was spent actually getting to Tulum, and we only went out at night for dinner.
Saturday we had plans to go to the ruins & the beach, so I wore my palm leaf one-piece with shorts over it. That night we went out to eat at a nice restaurant so I changed out of my Chacos into my lace-up sandals and a tropical romper I got in Maui.
Sunday was for cenotes & the beach again!
I wore this pink two-piece bathing suit I found on sale at Altar’d State and wore my Old Navy cotton shorts over it just like the previous day. As you can see, I wore my hat every day; the sun and heat were no joke, y’all! I must say, packing for a simple 3 day weekend for a tropical location was super convenient and made traveling a breeze; for once my backpack wasn’t heavy! Why can’t all my trips be this simple?
