Best Dressed | 2018

Presenting my favorite looks of 2018! This post is going to be somewhat different than any of my previous Best Dressed lists. In the past, I would usually go through my published outfit posts of that year and pull my favorites, linking to each individual post, but not this time.

While browsing through the “outfits” category on my blog for my 2018 Best Dressed list, I noticed that most of favorite looks were never posted! I mean, Instagram saw them, but the blog never did.  Ugh, again, this is why I’m a bad style blogger.

In truth, this was definitely a year I catered more to my Instagram than my blog–especially when “highlights” in our profiles became a thing. My blog still incorporates style, but it now caters more to travel and lifestyle posts… which is why photos of my outfit mainly just got saved to my Insta stories and maybe an actual feed post.

I’m including more than just 10 outfits this year as opposed to my previous Best Dressed lists; it was just too hard to choose! And I hate how most of these looks went undocumented on the blog. Someday I won’t have the time to scroll all the way back through my IG feed to find them, so I’m posting them here for easy access.

2018 brought about a few wardrobe staples that I had had on my wishlist forever like my denim jacket, a comfy pair of mom jeans, wide brim hat, off-the-shoulder top and printed jumpsuit that wasn’t a pain to use the bathroom in (all shown above). I wore these pieces the most out of anything else in my closet this year.

I know some of these outfits are nothing special. Jeans and a tee, how riveting! I get it. But these are all outfits I either wore constantly or felt my most confident in which should be the main point of all your favorite looks of the year, right?

Like the holiday sparkly numbers or the couple festival looks I posted here–these outfits I probably wore once or twice all year, but they left an impression. And yes, I will be wearing them again in 2019! That’s when you know an outfit should be on your favorites for the whole year: when you fully intend to keep them around for the near future.

Which look of 2018 is your favorite?
